Daily Tasks/Shared Living:

Participants in the NDIS program receive assistance that enables them to live freely. As part of the planning process, participants’ home and living objectives may be brought up for discussion.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will pay for the participant to receive any necessary support or housing help as part of their plan.

Supporting Independent living is a form of assistance that can be provided so that you can continue to live in your own home that helps with independent living.

It is the responsibility of this position to assist or supervise NDIS in their day-to-day activities of shared living, such as meal preparation and personal care. They make it possible for you to enhance your talents and become more self-sufficient.
Individuals who choose to participate in supported independent living have increased support requirements and always require some level of assistance in their homes.
People who have disabilities and require a significant amount of assistance stand the best chance of benefiting from supported independent living.
To put it another way, you require major assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to that, overnight help is required.
Participants in the NDIS who live with other NDIS participants may have the option of participating in supported independent living. If you live by yourself, you may be eligible for supported independent living, but you would rather take advantage of another opportunity.
It is not possible to use the funding for supported independent living for things like rent or food.
